Job Description:
General Summary: The Analyst will support the development,
launch, and lifecycle management of compliant, safe, and
high-quality private brand products for product categories
including but not limited to children’s products, apparel, food
contact materials, seasonal goods, household products and general
merchandise. This role will coordinate product testing, corrective
actions, and merchant training to ensure products meet both
regulatory requirements and internal standards. The analyst will
play a key role in tracking issues, driving remediation, and
enhancing vendor qualification processes, particularly for
higher-risk product categories, while helping to meet business
timelines and avoid delays, compliance failures, and regulatory
enforcement actions. This role will also assist in protocol and
procedural development. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate testing programs for private brand products, including
submission tracking, results review, and stakeholder communication.
Support the remediation process for product issues by tracking
corrective actions, documenting outcomes, and following up with
internal teams and vendors. Monitor progress against testing and
launch timelines to ensure product compliance does not delay
go-to-market activities. Assist in developing and delivering
training to merchants and cross-functional partners on product
safety, quality, and compliance expectations. Work closely with
vendors to support qualification processes, focusing on higher-risk
goods such as children’s products and electronics. Maintain
accurate compliance records, product documentation, and test
reports in centralized databases or tracking systems. Conduct and
support post-market activities, including but not limited to
consumer complaint investigations, state and federal reporting, and
recall execution. Collaborate with internal partners such as
Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Sourcing, Legal, and Merchandising
to ensure smooth execution of compliance-related tasks. Support
continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and
effectiveness of compliance programs for private brand products.
Monitor industry best practices and regulatory trends relevant to
private label goods and communicate emerging risks or changes.
Participate in internal audits, vendor assessments, and compliance
reviews as needed. Position Requirements: Office work environment,
40 work hours per week Minimum Requirements: Education: BA/BS in
addition to relevant work experience Experience: 5 years of
experience in Quality & Compliance. Strong knowledge of CPSC,
CPSIA, US Customs, and state-level product safety regulations. Job
Related Skills : 5 years of experience working in a product safety
or compliance role. Strong knowledge or demonstrated ability to
quickly learn federal and state product regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the
ability to manage multiple deadlines and regulatory jurisdictions.
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the
ability to coordinate cross-functionally. Proficiency in Microsoft
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with regulatory databases
or compliance tracking tools preferred. Strong problem-solving
skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Ability to work
independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving
environment. Keen understanding of product life cycle from both
retail and manufacturing perspective.
