Field Engineer II

Raytheon is seeking a Junior Field Engineer responsible for
operational support and facility maintenance. The primary
responsibilities will be to support preventative maintenance and
repair programs for site buildings, grounds, equipment, and
systems. This individual will be a member of a team focusing on
customer support, engineering, analysis, testing and training. Work
performed will include a wide variety of tasks related to HVAC and
electrical systems, preventative maintenance, construction, and
demolition. The individual will be expected to assess circumstances
and conditions, and determine appropriate technical solutions in
accordance with product manufacturers, customer specifications,
applicable codes, and prevailing industry standards. The candidate
will present recommendations and then follow through with the
directions from the supervisor and/or customer for a coordinated,
effective resolution. The individual will perform other site duties
as required in support of specific mission related tasking and
repairs, cooperatively with site personnel and management.
Occasionally, the successful candidate will also be required to
perform duties outside his or her areas of expertise in order to
meet time-critical surge requirements. Likewise, the candidate may
be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays intermittently
to address emergency issues or meet critical deadlines.
- The successful candidate will possess both HVAC and electrical
skills and experience for preventative maintenance, new
installations, and have experience trouble-shooting and repairing
residential and light commercial HVAC units and electrical

lists, production cost estimates, and forecast reliable schedules
for projects, and may occasionally lead teams in support of
- The candidate will need to effectively read and interpret
building plans and specifications, product cut-sheets, and O&M
- It is mandatory that the successful candidate have a working
knowledge of hazards associated with building and construction
work, as well as appropriate safety precautions.
- The successful candidate must have excellent communication
skills (written and verbal), and have excellent customer and
coworker interface capabilities.
- The individual must work well with others in small groups and
interact daily with customers.
- The ability to work successfully on collaborative team efforts
is critical. They must likewise be able to work well independently
and with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional responsiveness to customer tasking, willingness to
work flexible hours on short notice, and an ability to respond
quickly and effectively under stressful and/or emergency situations
- Minor computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft
Word and Microsoft Excel, are required.

- Electrical Certification
- Basic residential carpentry skills
- Basic residential plumbing skills
- Heavy equipment operation (fork lift, backhoe, skid steer,
trencher, tractor, etc---)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Working knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA
Minimum of 5 years' of relevant field experience; or Bachelor's
degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities
Management, or other relevant technical field, with 2 years'
