Job Title Facility Technician Job Description Summary The Facility Technician's role is to provide a variety of facility support functions and perform routine safety checks and building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; plumbing and HVAC). Provide excellent customer service and perform and support engineers when task are assigned. Job Description* Conducts physical inspections for safety issues of the facility, grounds, premises, hallways, common areas, restrooms, etc. addressing anything that might be in need of repair, maintenance, or clean-up.* Prioritize work orders, handle urgent requests, respond to client calls and complete any and all assigned facility tickets.* Complete assigned preventative maintenance on certain equipment (eg. kitchen equipment, water fountains, faucets, etc.).* Helps to ensure all building and maintenance policies, procedures, SOP's, codes, regulations, etc. are followed and enforced including safety systems and standards.* Conducts the physical movement of furniture, equipment, boxes and materials as needed for meeting and conference room set-ups, facility events, tenant move-in's and move-out's, freight shipping and delivery, supplies, and stocking.* Conduct minor repairs to the facilities and premises as assigned including painting, patching, office and kitchen equipment, furniture, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles, etc.* Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.* Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).* Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, or roller to apply paints, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).* Reconfigures offices furniture and and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.* Ensure the building is a clean and safe working environment and provide housekeeping with support when needed.* Performs other work related duties as assigned and provide support the various skilled trade personnel at a facility.* Order supplies/parts and maintain required documents.* Must be able to work flexible hours and understands first responder role.
