Department Technician (ED Tech) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital,
in Virginia Beach, Virginia.Shift: Full Time (36-hours), Second
Shift (11a-11p)QUALIFICATIONS:HSD/GED REQUIREDBLS certification
within 90 days of hire REQUIREDONE of the following in addition to
the minimum Education REQUIRED : 1. EMT-B with state or national
certification at time of hire OR2. Successful completion of US
Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR3.
Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN,
Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one
semester within the program.* Candidates with prior employment in
the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be
considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.As anEmergency
Department Technician (ED Tech)with Sentara, you can work in either
inpatient or outpatient Emergency Department settings. This role is

general medical and surgicalfacility with 160 beds.The hospital
offers a full-service emergency room with a dedicated observation
unit, Critical Care, Oncology and Stroke services. It also
encompasses a Family Maternity Center with an On-site Neonatal

Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of
care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient
procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician,
Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.
De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of
hire.
BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the
minimum Education :
1. EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire
OR
2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School,
qualified MMAC candidates OR
3. Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN,
