Currently, our Fleet Sustainment team is looking for Maintenance Coordinators that can provide engineering and technical services to accomplish advance planning, work package development, work package integration and work package execution. This will be for aircraft carrier repairs, maintenance and modernization for CNO scheduled availabilities, and for emergent work outside availabilities. The Maintenance Coordinators will also provide technical reviews, preliminary screening, and coordination of all depot and intermediate level repairs and modernization during RCOH, DPIA, PIA and CIA for assigned Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL) CVN's.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering and technical services for developing the repair package integral to ship's Availability Work Package (AWP) and screen routine or emergent work outside of CNO's availabilities. Ensure only valid CSMP entries are addressed. Schedule, identify and list SCD's in the repair package. Act as the primary POC for the Maintenance Triad for modernization issues during the planning and execution. Coordinate with PMS-312E and PMS-312C, as well as other modernization sponsors, to track modernization readiness. Ensure NAVSEA and CNAL approved mandatory repairs and correct repair procedures are listed in the repair package. Screen each repair item and recommend appropriate repair activity to accomplish (Dept, RMC, etc.) Conduct an in-depth review of cost estimates to ensure estimates reflect the scope of repairs. Prioritize each repair item to ensure all mandated and required repairs are accomplished within funding limitations and availability schedule. Track CASREP's, coordinate technical assistance with CNAL N41 material expediter for material requirements, and track status of material identification, procurement and delivery. Coordinate with Regional Maintenance Centers, Naval Shipyards and ISEA's for voyage repairs when required. Prepare daily CASREP status reports for all equipment with a CASREP to include details at to the estimated time of repair, material status and technical assistance. Coordinate with outside maintenance activities as required for nuclear propulsion related issues. Minimum Qualifications 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience. Must have knowledge/experience with maintenance and modernization of Navy Class Ships. Must have working knowledge of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) and Availability Work Packages (AWP). Must have a strong background associated with the shipboard systems and must have knowledge or experience on the Availability project team. Must have experience reviewing preliminary 4E Specifications to ensure all applicable NAVSEA Standard items, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, Naval ships Technical Manuals and MIL-STDs were correct. Must have Proficiency in the Type Commander (TYCOM Regional Maintenance Automated Information System (RMAIS), shipboard Organizational Maintenance Management System (OMMS) - Next Generation (NG) and the shipyard Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) systems. Experience with the Navy's Organization Maintenance Management System-Next Generation (OMMS-NG) and utilization of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) is required. Must have a current or active DoD secret security clearance, and be able to maintain credentials throughout employment. Preferred Requirements Minimum of ten (10) years' experience of fluent use of RMAIS / VSB, ability to review and validate, sort, screen and provide feedback to the respective ship and work centers on jobs submitted to ensure information contained is correct and all-inclusive in order to broker work items to repair activities. Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience with direct involvement with Naval Nuclear Propulsion onboard aircraft carriers, of which at least 10 years must be gained through direct operational experience while serving on duty onboard the aircraft carriers. Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience of strong knowledge in hull, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for aircraft carriers. Minimum of ten (10) years' experience communicating with and briefing senior naval officers and civilians with regard to shipboard systems and equipment status and provide recommended course of action to repair. Past experience supporting COMNAVAIRLANT in availability and/or readiness on US Navy Carrier Modernization is highly desired. Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
