Software Test Engineer (Manual Tester)Job Category: EngineeringTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: LocalCACI is seeking a Software Test Engineer with a specialization manual testing to join our Test and Evaluation team on the Navy Tactical Command Support System contract (NTCCS). This is a hybrid position with occasional travel (once a week) to our Navy Client Site and requires that you are located within the local commuting distance (80 miles) to the Naval Station at Norfolk, VA. The team's primary mission is the verification and validation of our client's next generation cloud-based product line.You will be responsible for supporting, planning, coordinating, and executing verification, validation and testing of application and systems software. You will work closely with software developers, engineers, business analysts, and requirements personnel to plan, coordinate and execute static analysis and dynamic testing of systems/software code to verify, validate acceptance and technical specifications.The NTCSS is the set of systems the Navy uses both ashore and afloat to handle supply chain and logistics management. Installed at over 1,000 sites with 250,000 daily users, the system is essential to the smooth functioning of the Navy's supply chain. Under the contract, CACI will continue to provide full life-cycle development and engineering support for business IT systems that manage supply, finance, personnel, and administration. As CACI modernizes the legacy systems, the Navy will be able to take full advantage of new software, hardware, and technology, while reducing cyber security vulnerabilities.**Scope of duties include:**+ Evaluate the test basis and support the refinement of requirements to ensure testability, clarity, and correctness.+ Author and maintain software test cases and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.+ Conduct test design activities to identify and create test cases (positive and negative) traceable to system requirements.+ Assist in the creation of software test plans to document the overall test strategy, test approach, test process, test schedule, pass/fail criteria, test environment architecture, test lab resources.+ Conduct static and dynamic testing at all software testing levels to include integration, functional, system, and acceptance.+ Accurately record and report defects found during test events and trace to resolution.+ Work closely with stakeholders, sponsors, and customers to determine acceptance criteria and coordinate certification test events with end users.**Required Qualifications:**+ Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an interim secret clearance with potential for Top Secret Eligibility.+ DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (ex. CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP or related).+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 8 years + of related experience.+ Knowledge of testing business application and enterprise information systems.+ Knowledge of static and dynamic software test activities.+ Knowledge of agile or incremental software development life cycle models.+ Knowledge of testing business application and enterprise information systems.+ Demonstrated knowledge of static and dynamic software test activities.+ Skilled in creating software test plans, test cases, test procedures, test scripts, and test data conditions.+ Skilled at mapping test cases to requirements and providing input to generate a requirements traceability matrix.+ Demonstrated ability to assess software products for readiness and determine pass/fail criteria.+ Demonstrated ability to determine test approaches, develop test schedules, and identify risks associated with testing.+ Demonstrated ability to capture test data, analyze test results and clearly communicate (orally and written) findings and/or deficiencies.+ Demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate with members of a software development or systems engineering team to accomplish project team goals and objectives.**Desired Qualifications:**+ Familiarity with Zephyr and TestRail is considered a plus+ Familiarity with Jira is considered a plus**What we can offer you:**At CACI, our philosophy of employee development and advancement rests on a cultural foundation of providing unlimited and equal opportunity for growth, recognition, and rewards.
