Position Summary:
This position serves as a technical data expert and supports the Director of Operations Strategy & Planning to achieve service excellence and process efficiency in Marine Operations. Responsible for developing, maintaining analyzing and interpreting reports as needed by the Director of Operations Strategy & Planning and VP of Marine Operations
This position will be responsible to:

Utilize Operations Dashboard reports to interpret data sets, including but not limited to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic cargo velocity issues in Marine Terminals.
Perform accurate analysis to identify problems and propose solutions
Prepare Marine Terminal data in the Daily Flash Report for OEM meeting that effectively communicate trends, and identify improvement areas.
Provide ad hoc reporting as instructed by the Director of Operations Strategy & Planning
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational and costing KPI reports for Marine Operations Department
Actively review the port cutoff accuracy in LARA cutoff system and point out preventive actions to be done by Marine Operations
Miscellaneous related duties, process improvement, or Projects as assigned.

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:


Associate degree required.
Minimum 2 year's shipping industry experience
Proficient computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Proficient knowledge and usage of LARA system and various Marine Terminal Websites.
General understanding and working knowledge of the transportation industry in one or more of the following areas: Electronic Data Interface (EDI), KPI management, Marine/Port Operations
Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines with high level of accuracy
Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing with strong presentation skills
Advanced problem solving and data analytical skills
Proven ability to work independently and in team environment
Accepts responsibility and accountability with focus on results
Ability to monitor and manage priorities and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
Process management and project management experiences preferred. Skill Sets / Education & Experience Preferred:


Bachelor's Degree preferred.
