Learn more about this agency Responsibilities - You will prepare work orders for Military Maintenance Section outlining the course of action required to totally demilitarize material to unclassified scrap. - You will resolve problems regarding support parts, tools, equipment, equipage allowances, and procedures related to nuclear weapons material inspection, test, maintenance, repair, modification, and/or disposal. - You will be responsible for maintaining accountability for the receipt, storage, issue, disposal, and inventory of all 8A/0A cognizance nuclear weapon components, to include Nuclear Weapon Related Material. - You will grant leave, rate performance, initiate disciplinary and commendatory actions and keep subordinates informed of policy and regulatory changes. Travel Required 25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Define, report, monitor, and resolve both hardware and procedural issues related to nuclear ordnance material; 2. Resolve problems for nuclear weapons test, disablement, and handling equipment from initial production and package, to repair and calibration, to declassification, demilitarization, and disposal; 3. Assess the adequacy of policy statements, illustrative data, parts listings, and procedural instructions related to nuclear material; 4. Utilize a knowledge of classification guides, demilitarization manuals, information and physical security, and personnel reliability program requirements to ensure adequacy of secure transfer, storage controls, and proper disposal of nuclear ordnance material; 5. Lead or guide subordinate workers in handling of nuclear ordnance material.
