Now Hiring: Journeyman Brick Layer / Mason Location: Norfolk, VA Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour Company: Staff Zone Job Description: Staff Zone is seeking experienced Journeyman Brick Layers/Masons for immediate work on commercial and/or industrial construction projects. Candidates must have demonstrated skills in laying brick, block, and stone with precision and efficiency. This is a full-time position with consistent work for dependable and skilled professionals. Responsibilities: Lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tile, and other masonry materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation Use hand and power tools to shape, cut, and finish materials as needed Read blueprints, drawings, and plans to calculate materials required Ensure structures meet safety standards and are level, plumb, and properly aligned Maintain a clean and safe worksite Requirements: Must be a skilled Journeyman with experience in brick laying/masonry work Must pass a criminal background check covering the past 10 years Must possess a valid, updated REAL ID-compliant Driver's License or State ID (issued May 7, 2025 or later) Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site Must be dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team Safety gear and work boots required Why Work with Staff Zone?
