Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Histotechnician to work full time days in the Immunohistochemistry Lab.

Sign On Bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates!

Job responsibility is to perform laboratory procedures and document quality assurance.

Qualified candidates are required to have:

- ASCP Certification or eligible for certification

- must obtain certification in 5 years

Job Summary

Performs Laboratory Procedures; documents quality assurance

American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) eligibility preferred upon hire, but eligibility and certification required within five years of hire. Acceptable certificate program includes completion of NAACLS accredited Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) program. Certification eligible applicants with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) may be considered in lieu of licensure. Certified Histotechnicians (HT) or Histotechnologists (HTL) with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) may be considered in lieu of education.

Qualifications:

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
