Job Summary: Vsolvit is looking for software engineer candidate to research, design, and test software programs in support of Navy programs. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with software development experience, knowledge of hardware systems, software coding, architecture and developmental models. Responsibilities: Develop new computer software systems and incorporate new technologies in a rapidly growing range of applications. Apply the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that enable computers to perform their many applications. Analyze users' needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems. Participate in the design and development of many types of software, including software for operating systems and network distribution, and compilers, which convert programs for execution on a computer. Solve technical problems that arise. Provide system engineering services to include requirements engineering, design engineering, technical studies and evaluations, software development, System Design Reviews, Architectural views, engineering and technical documentation, technology refreshment, sustainment development, and virtualization operations. Identify and implement standards and a common service architecture that drives commonality and interoperability of products and services. Develop strategies to incorporate best practices early in product design that will facilitate installation, operation, sustainment, and training. Assist in integrating cloud technologies where appropriate to drive efficiencies and improve security. Assist in reducing the Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) development, patch development, testing, integration, and installation times through process improvements, best practices, the use of technology solutions, and automation. Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science. Software Engineer or computer related degrees only. Three (3) years of experience in software development and maintenance, to include: Systems/Equipment Support, and Test & Evaluation support. Specific experience with DoD C4ISR, maintenance, logistics, or business systems preferred but will consider other relevant industry experience supporting complex solutions. One (1) year of technical experience in support of a software development and maintenance project/program. Experience may be achieved simultaneously. Must possess strong programming skills but are more concerned with developing algorithms and analyzing and solving programming problems than with actually writing code. The programming languages most often used are C, C++, Java as well as other languages. Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Navy IT Business systems including NTCSS, NALCOMIS, and OOMA. Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies, DevSecOps, automation, cloud technologies and digital transformation. This position is currently hiring for levels 1-4, salary and level will be determined on basic qualifications of candidate. The salary range is $75,000 - $110,000.
