Neurodiagnostic/ EEG Tech to work at Sentara Norfolk General
Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center in Norfolk, VA.
Hours/Shift:FLEXI (as needed) night shift.Department/Position
Overview:Performs a wide variety of neurophysiological diagnostic
studies in the laboratory, intra-operatively and in the intensive
care settings; operates and performs preventative maintenance on
complex monitoring instruments; documents all acquired data for
interpretation; ensures tests performed are properly ordered,
charged and reported; makes independent assessments that may
indicate urgent medical interaction.We are looking for a minimum of
two years' experience as Neurodiagnostic Tech and tracking towards
registration. Sentara will pay for your
boards!Education/Certification:
- Registered Electroencephalograph Tech (EEG) preferred
- BLS required.
- Trade School Graduate - Electroneurodiagnostic Tech preferred,
1 year of experience in lieu of degree accepted.
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring
(CNIM) and Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (REPT)
