Job Description:
The Barry Robinson Center is a premier behavioral health system
dedicated to improving the lives of children since 1933. We offer
residential treatment, outpatient services and foster care from our
campus in Norfolk, VA. We are seeking a full-time Clinical
Therapist to join our team for the older adolescent girls' dorm.
Responsibilities include: performing complex diagnostic clinical
planning and therapy including individual, group, family therapies,
crisis intervention, perform clinical case management and clinical
administrations.The Barry Robinson Center is a mission-driven
organization that prioritizes our residents. We operate out of a
gorgeous campus in Norfolk, Virginia. Our children are all
military-connected between the ages of 11-17.We are a dynamic team
that offers both professional development opportunities,
comprehensive benefits, and fun!Our clinical therapists are
dedicated to our residents and families. Each therapist carries a
caseload of 6-7 residents. We are looking for a candidate that
would act as a "floater" and assist with both our boys' and girls'
programs to help with cases and manage additional support needed.
An ideal candidate meets requirements listed below and is
passionate about making a difference in the lives of
children/adolescents.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Masters degree in a Human
Services curriculum;Must be licensed as LCSW, LMFT or LPC in the
Commonwealth of Virginia by the Department of Health Regulatory
Board;Minimum 3 years of progressive responsible clinical and
clinical administrative experience;Experience working with children
aged 12-17; preferredMust be eligible for malpractice
insurance.COVID-19 Policy: New Hires must provide a copy of the
proof that they are fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19
vaccine prior to hire.DUTIES:Provide individual and family therapy
for residents (caseload of 6-7 residents)Parenting with Love and
Limits (PLL) & Family Systems Therapy (FST)Participate in discharge
and aftercare planning to facilitate clients/patients smooth
transition into the communityComplete clinical charting documenting
residents' progress in accordance with The Barry Robinson Center
policies and proceduresParticipate in regular professional
development to maintain license as required by discipline and
Virginia Behavioral Science BoardAttend weekly clinical meetings in
each program to discuss clinical progress and specify treatment
