The Mission Technologies Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) is seeking a motivated and experienced team player to participate in its CCoE DevSecOps team. As a cloud engineer on our team, you'll directly contribute to tool and capability recommendations based on your research of the current environment and design strategy. You'll be part of our team and work with our cloud architect to design, secure, and automate our cloud strategies.

This is a full time REMOTE position that can be performed anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

Participate in the planning, implementation, management and growth of the infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Gov Cloud for the CCoE.

Provide world class customer support for both PaaS and SaaS CCoE consumers.

Participate in the CCoE technology strategy, vision, requirements, and solutions for enterprise cloud initiatives.

Employ a Security first approach to all cloud development, minimalize risk while providing highly complex cloud technology solutions for the CCoE to meet company, program and customer compliance and needs.

Collaborate with the remote development, cybersecurity, and operations teams to enhance tooling and automation scripts.

Design, implement and maintain highly scalable, available, compliant, and elastic CCoE solutions using experience and AWS best practices and services.

Conduct research and Proof of Concepts (POCs) of new technologies to determine fit in the CCoE environment.

Evaluate and analyze multiple complex data sources associated with systems, performance, issues, cost and compliance and optimize CCoE architecture and operations in order to improve CCoE services and capabilities.

Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and capabilities and provide recommendations to management and customers.

Work in an Agile SDLC and collaborate with remote teams to implement Continuous Delivery of CCoE products focusing on automation.

Leads early scoping definitions and identifies critical dependencies.

Identifies and mitigates technology risks and develops architecture to support processes.

Collaborates with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction.

Develops and documents framework for integration and implementation of cloud systems.

Understands and determines sizing, capacity planning and requirements for infrastructure, network, and security in the cloud offering.

What you must have!

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years' experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

Previous experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts (Terraform)

Previous experience with JRE execution (how apps run in Java)

Previous experience with AWS (GOV and Commercial) cloud service provider

Previous experience working with an agile team

Understanding of NIST 800-171 & CMMC

Preferred Requirements

In-depth Knowledge of Atlassian suite consider a plus (Jira, Confluence and Gitlab)

Experience with Containerization also a plus
