A strong candidate understands how to engineer DoD C4I requirements as they relate to the customer's strategic, operational, and technical needs. As well they will possess an expert level ability to analyze a client's business domain, produce enterprise/business solutions, and support business growth. As Solutions Architect, you will undertake structured analysis of enterprise requirements and technical issues, translating this analysis into technical designs/architecture that describe a solution. The Solution Architect looks for new opportunities to collaborate and reuse components as well as automate build and configuration management, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Leading the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas within federal agencies and DoD Leading the evaluation/analysis of client technical problem sets for existing or future work through business development and technical response to formal government solicitation Providing advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensuring that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security) are applied correctly Contribute to the creation and review of a systems capability strategy which meets the strategic requirements of the business Developing models and plans to drive forward the strategy, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance Taking responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, procedures, organization, and equipment Identifying, evaluating, and managing the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques, and processes (including automation and continuous integration) to create a robust integration framework within SDi's proposal process Designing integration components and interfaces Contributing to the overall design of the service and the definition of criteria for product and component selection Contributing to development of systems integration policies, standards, and tools Reviewing information systems for compliance with legislation and specifies any required changes Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures and overall information management strategy Monitors the external environment to gather and report on intelligence of emerging technologies through assessments of impacts, threats, and opportunities to the organization by reporting technology roadmaps and producing knowledge shares with others Engaging senior level government officials to inspire, define and execute on Enterprise cloud migration and solution transformation strategies demonstrating thought-leadership and a 'can do' approach -- Job Requirements:Required Experience/Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management Systems or a related discipline Ten (10+) years of Network Engineering or Systems Engineering experience Five (5+) years of DoD RMF experience Five (5+) years of DoD Acquisition experience Five (5+) years experience leading technical proposal development for DoD and US Government solicitations Hands on experience with networking and systems Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) hardware Experience with DevSecOps tools and best practices in a Microsoft Environment DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Certification (IAT Level 2 minimum) Professional Level Vendor Specific (ie, Microsoft, AWS certifications) U.S. Citizen eligible for DoD Secret clearance Desired Experience/Qualifications: Knowledge of DoN maritime IT systems and networks Ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments Understanding--of CISCO network and systems security principles and techniques Experience with the development of DoD Systems Engineering documentation Experience leading the development of technical proposals to US Government and DoD contract solicitations Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check prior to employment.
