Senior Operations Manager for Northern Virginia, you will be
responsible for overseeing multiple projects within the region, as
well as taking an entrepreneurial approach working with senior
leadership to further develop Flatiron’s presence in the Northern

- 15+ years’
experience in heavy civil construction required.
- 10+ years
construction management experience required.
Degree a plus.
- Managing heavy
civil/highway projects, construction,
business and financial risk management
- Safety Trained
Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
- Valid Driver’s
- Understands the
critical points and common risk areas of contract and partner
relationships. Proven ability to identify risk areas early and
develop appropriate solutions to mitigate issues and claims against
- Able to identify
and define growth opportunities for direct reports and extended
reports regarding company strategy and company expected
competencies required for career progression.
- Strong ability
to drive company values in daily interactions with employees, peers
and key stakeholders (internal/external).
- Expert knowledge
of complex construction means and methods.
- Proven knowledge
and ability to manage claims process and negotiate with Owner
regarding project issues.
