Compliance Consultant Sr, Manager

This position can be filled as a Consultant Sr or Compliance Manager level depending on experience. There are two openings and one will be filled for Regulatory Integration and the other will be filled with the Federal Compliance Team. This role can sit onsite in an Anthem or remote in an EST or CST area.

Compliance Consultant Sr.

Responsible for delivering and executing foundational and strategic compliance responsibilities with consistent excellence that support the team and management at the most senior advanced level.

Primary duties for this most senior advanced level position, with moderate complexity and defined/localized scale include, but not limited to:

  • At the most senior advanced level, report, communicate, research laws, regulations, requirements, regulatory audits and/or exams.
  • Provide senior level analytical support to projects, initiatives, regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments.
  • Utilize systems unique to job functions, including standard-issue software such as Microsoft products; maintain system documentation, serve as subject matter expert, train users of system, contribute to system design, oversight or maintenance.
  • Apply critical thinking to formulate strategies and concepts that drive results, persuade and influence others, adapt to change, and manage conflict.

Compliance Manager

Responsible for managing foundational and strategic compliance responsibilities with consistent excellence that support the team and management.

Primary duties for this managing level position, with moderate to advanced complexity and broad/enterprise scale may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage/oversee projects, initiatives, regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments; audit planning, conducting mock audits, conducting audit training, managing audit evidence preparation, assessing audit preparedness.
  • Establish project plans, gap analysis, milestone dates, and other significant aspects, and leadership updates.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, company strategies to assess impact, and consult with clients as subject matter expert.
  • Conducts complex investigations, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are made.
  • Interface with external clients, regulators, vendors, supplier; internal stakeholders, high level of management.

Qualifications

Compliance Consultant Sr.

  • Requires a BA/BS, at least 5 years of health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Compliance Manager

  • Requires a BA/BS; MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred; at least 6+ years of health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Regulatory Integration Role:

  • Regulatory integration experience preferred.
  • Experience analyzing new state legislation and regulation directives.
  • Familiarity with state legislation tracking services.
  • Experience with Compliance 360 software tool preferred.

Federal Compliance Team Role:

  • CMS account management
  • Manage relationship and day to day activities
  • Assisting with drafting agenda items and meeting minutes.
  • Taking over duties within communications.
  • Project management skills is a huge plus
  • CMS commercial experience is strongly preferred
