Senior Statistical Analyst I

Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Statistical Analyst I. In Research & Development (R&D) our ambition is providing innovative high-quality products, creating sustainable value, delivering superior user experience and enhancing health outcomes at all stages of life.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provides input to clinical study protocols, CRFs and edit check specifications
  • Collaborates with Statistician and Clinical Scientist to write analysis data set and table specifications
  • Programs statistical , analysis datasets, tables, figures, listings in line with clinical study protocol and statistical analysis plan using an appropriate statistical analysis system (i.e. SAS)
  • Ensures the accuracy and consistency of data flow from case report forms (CRFs) and database definitions, through to specifications for analysis datasets
  • Performs complex data checking for Data Management group
  • Programs required data listings, tables and Key Risk Indicator output used by Clinical Study team members for Risk Based Monitoring
  • Programs adverse event data listings and tables used by Medical Safety group for routine safety reviews
  • Performs validation of analysis datasets and tables developed by other programmers
  • Modifies or creates new project specific SAS macros to aid in programming efficiency
  • Develops new processes and ensures all process improvements are implemented
  • Collaborates with other team members to develop quality reports for publications and regulatory submissions
  • May lead a small programming team with effective communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU'LL BRING

Required

  • BS in a Mathematical (i.e. Applied Math, Engineering, etc.), Statistical, Computer Science or Life Science subject
  • Minimum of 5 years of statistical programming experience desired

Preferred

  • Proficiency in SAS programming required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Diligence - attention to detail and ability to manage concurrent projects and activities
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Nice to have knowledge of CDSIC standards and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of R programming a plus.
