Full Stack Web App Developer (00920A)
Working with a team of programmers, this position is responsible for analyzing, writing, building, and deploying the Center for Learning and Teaching web applications. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be using various technologies including PHP, OOP, JavaScript to design and manage the back-end and front-end of a cutting-edge online learning system called Personal Learning Environment (PLE).
Considerable knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (system design, development, testing, release and maintenance), including requirements solicitation. Considerable effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Considerable skill in Object Oriented Programming and design patterns. Extensive ability for problem solving, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Considerable ability to design scalable architecture and design structures.
Considerable experience with PHP 7 and PHP frameworks. Considerable experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks. Some experience with relational database and non-relational database development.Some experience in user interface development including the use of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Some experience developing complex JavaScript for end-user interactions. Some experience developing complex backend web applications. Some experience installing and configuring application runtime software.
Extensive experience as a Software Developer. Some experience developing microservices. Demonstrated ability to use Agile methodology including Scrum. Working knowledge about web-application design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP.
Some experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Some experience with source control (Git). Some experience with JavaScript based build tools (Gulp, Grunt, Webpack). Working knowledge of W3C standards, web accessibility and ADA Section 508 compliance. Some experience with developing responsive designs. Working knowledge of Learning Tools Interoperability (LTIs). Some experience configuring servers. Some experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
Some experience with PHP frameworks (Zend, Laravel, Symfony). Some experience with Mongo/NoSql. Some experience with MySql/MS SQL. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some experience with automated testing, quality assurance processes and tools.
