Description:Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Network Installer in Norfolk, VA. The selected candidate will establish network information requirements in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure (CAN, WAN). Coordinates, plans, designs, and integrates new Joint Information Operations Range customers onto the network. Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Conducts life cycle management and updates site documentation..Requirements: Duties and responsibilities will include: Scheduling and conducting pre-site survey and site surveys; travel up to 50% Recommending alternative approaches to meet event scheduling requirements utilizing existing resources Developing installation/removal analysis plans for each government site Providing initial network diagrams, updated network diagrams throughout the installation process Coordinate all shipments of the hardware and necessary Communications Security (COMSEC) material to user sites Installation/removal of Service Delivery Point (SDP) Networks Conduct post-installation functional testsRequired Qualifications: Years of Experience: 3+ Technical skills: o Establishing Layer 1 connectivity between networking devices (Cat 5 and fiber)o Troubleshooting Layer 1 connections with Fluke or optical testerso Troubleshooting networking device Layer 1 and Layer 2 connectivity issues o Firewall, router and switch configurationso Cisco router and switch experienceo Working with media converterso Configuring taclanes, especially the KG-175 serieso Microsoft Visio experience Ability to lift and rack various networking equipment up to 50lbs DoD IAT-II Security Certification (e.g. Security + CE, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security) Ability to work independentlyPreferred Qualifications: Help Desk ticketing experience Juniper experienceSecurity Clearance: TS/SCIAbout Command Post Technologies Inc:Command Post Technologies, Inc.
