VP Acquisitions – Acquisitions Officer Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results
oriented VP Acquisitions – Acquisitions Officer . The VP
Acquisitions – Acquisitions Officer will be responsible for
commercial property acquisitions fitting Harbor Groups investment
strategy to include sourcing, underwriting,
acquisition/disposition, and debt/equity procurement processes for
assets in multiple states. Will direct and oversee acquisitions
activities to ensure efficient operations, compliance with
standards and procedures, and sound investment decisions. Primary
duties include but are not limited to
Oversee due diligence and physical asset evaluation to determine
how to create value through capital improvement
Manage the scope and budget development for proposed property
improvements to identify required work and value enhancement
Lead and execute capital improvement program to include
expenses, timing, quality, and communication
Successfully meet investment objectives by providing monthly
reports with goals & milestones, project completion summaries and
updates for marketing material, annual reports, etc.
Assure all projects are in compliance with lender and insurance
Responsible for minimizing financial exposure from
unplanned/unbudgeted capital items
Manage, develop and mentor team members within the construction

Bachelor’s degree Finance, Accounting or similar field required;
JD/LLM, CPA and/or MBA preferred
Has a minimum of 5 years combined experience in sourcing,
structuring, negotiating, and closing complex direct and joint
venture real estate transactions.
A strong grasp of the real estate market in the assigned
Demonstrated skill and experience with complex tax, finance, and
legal matters and proven ability to effectively leverage and matrix
manage internal resources and outside advisors.
Experienced in presenting acquisition opportunities to an
A team player capable of working effectively in a demanding yet
highly collegial environment.
High proficiency and self-efficacy of computer systems including
Microsoft Excel and Argus.
Has excellent written communication and interpersonal
Ability to give effective written and oral presentations.
Ability to travel on short notice
