Systems Engineer 3 in Norfolk, Va Top Secret clearance required.
7 years of Professional experience in systems engineering The
Systems Engineer shall have expert knowledge of all elements of
System Development Life and will have experience in GCCS-M and
CANES. Responsibilities Definition, Development, Design, Analysis &
Control, Integration, and Testing. The SE shall be able to
demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills, the
ability to lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, the
ability to establish confidence and credibility with managers and
senior level IT leaders, excellent communications skills, foster
open communications on teams. - Defense Acquisition University
Level III Systems Engineering Certified (Preferred) -MCP or MCSE
with Hyper V Certification or experience Conducts on site
troubleshooting and maintenance assistance for problems that may
cross multiple Navy systems, provides training on the systems.
Lead/coordinate troubleshooting with other Afloat Fleet Systems
Engineers. Networking support to C4I systems. Coordinate repair of
installed C4I systems and other advisory and systems engineering
services Provide on-site engineering and technical support for the
integration of information technology (IT) hardware and software
upgrades. Provide support for maintenance of the system hardware
and software, system architecture, configuration and systematic
baseline to meet the site/node objectives; on-site support shall
provide activity-based technical and engineering support for
web-based Command and Control applications and user access to those
applications Provide recommendations to more effectively utilize
the suite of applications and systems to include Common Operational
Picture (COP) management and network connectivity with other
joint/multi-national systems. A network engineer who can overseas
the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from
initial specification to final rollout and maintenance. The system
engineer is responsible for integration managing the development
cycle associated with producing resilient software, hardware, and
web applications, including specification design, coding testing
and maintenance. recommendations for improvement or alternative
networking strategies. Assist in conducting preliminary network
testing after integration and configuration of site upgrades and
modifications Provide support for restoral procedures, rapid
response for emergent issues, and network documentation, along with
review of security and audit logs. Interacting with multiple shore
and ship-based customer organizations will be required. Interacting
with end-users required. System Engineers are required to perform
their tasking in multiple MSC secure spaces and ships. SE tasking
includes classified system development, testing, deployment and
In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA). Access to MCEL, MNOC and
shipboard is required continuously in performance of their daily
tasking. SIPRNET access shall be required as per section 6.7.1.5.
-Strong inter-personal and leadership communication skills to carry
out their assignment with the ability to lead and work as part of a
team. -Hands on experience with Microsoft Hyper V -Microsoft
Windows 10 LTSC -Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite -Microsoft
Exchange and Server (2016) -Microsoft Exchange and Windows Server
2008 R2 (preferred) - Defense Acquisition University Level III

Certification or experience -Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and
Management Program (DODM 8140.03, and Identification, Tracking, and

-Qualification for Advanced Systems Developer (632) or current
equivalent in the case where the current DOD issuance is
superseded. Travel will be required Qualifications Minimum
Qualification BS in Engineering Skills: Network operations and
maintenance with experience in server virtualization and systems
administration. Knowledge of fleet communications architectures
required. Knowledge of military architecture required. Must be able
to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Must be able to
