Job Description:
**Overview****COMPUTER ENGINEER (ESD-2023-17984):**Bowhead seeks
to network with individuals for an upcoming project supporting
theNaval Information Warfare (NIWC) Atlantic customer's Enterprise
Staging and Delivery (ES&D) Support facility in Norfolk, VA.
The ES&D Support facility provides for the reliable and secure
delivery of commercial IT hardware and integrated software. The
facility assures the compliance of IT hardware with information
assurance / cyber security requirements; verifies compliance with
Item Unique Identification (IUID) marking requirements; ensures
compliance of purchased commercial IT hardware with the terms of
purchase contracts; applies and configures approved and updated
firmware and software to IT assets; assures the functionality of IT
assets; handles noncompliance events and warranty resolution;
facilitates the prompt payment of vendors for delivered,
functional, and fully compliant IT hardware; packages orders for
delivery; arranges shipment of orders to destination; tracks
delivery of orders to destination; and, facilitates IT asset
management and property management functions in various systems of
records.**Responsibilities**Job Duties include but are not limited
to:+ Developing and updating systems, subsystems, equipment and
component test plans and SOPs while ensuring they are in compliance
with contract requirements+ Planning, scheduling, executing and
evaluating the testing of systems, subsystems, equipment and
components as well as providing technical support for the
technologies used+ Monitoring equipment used in testing to ensure
all approved procedures are approved and followed and ensuring all
data is collected and assimilated as needed after testing is
complete+ Compiling raw data into reports that include
recommendations to correct any issues and suggest improvements+
Other duties as assigned**Qualifications**+ Master's or Bachelor's
degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or
Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.+ Must
have a Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified
Software Development Professional (CSDP) certification. Exceptions
may be made for highly qualified candidates and with customer
approval who have completed a vendor/platform specific
certification such as: Administering System Center Configuration
Manager (SCCM) and Cloud Services Integration, Microsoft role-based
certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD),
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat
Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional
(CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle
Certified Professional(OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP),
Cloud certifications, etc.+ Must have ten (10) years with Masters
or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of experience in computer
design, software development or computer networks in addition to
five (5) years of technical experience in support of Network and
database administration on the Marine Corps Enterprise Network
(MCEN)and The Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and (2) years
technical experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration
Manager.+ Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software
suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint+ Ability to communicate
effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts+
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to
work alone or as part of a teamPhysical Demands:+ Must be able to
lift up to 25 pounds+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged
amounts of time+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat

security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a
