Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is
currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals
for Field Service Mechanical Specialist positions with one of the
world's leading industrial groups, spanning energy, logistics &
infrastructure, industrial machinery, aerospace, and defense.
Location: Live anywhere close to an airport
Compensation: The typical Field Service Mechanical Special will
earn above $100K. The hourly rate will range from $24-$28/hr. Any
work over 8 hours a day is time and a half pay. Saturdays are time
and a half, and Sunday/Holidays are double time including travel
time. All travel is paid for. Rental cars are covered and if you
use your own vehicle, you will get reimbursed at the IRS rate,
currently at 62.5 cents a mile. Per diem is $60/day with overseas
per diem paid higher. You also get an overseas pay premium that can
range from 6% to up to 45% add on. Any time you are not traveling
for work, you will still get paid a 40 hour week when at home
Travel: You will be on the road about 70% of the time which can
include project that go for multiple weeks. During the first 3
months you will train in Houston and Savanah, GA

As a Field Service Mechanical Specialist, you will ensure the
integrity of products. You will work hands on turbine combustors
and components at client's sites. Responsibilities will
--- Align turbine combustors and components including inter-stage
seal housings, blade rings and transitions.
--- Perform rigging techniques associated with blade ring rollout,
heavy cylinder lifts, and turbine rotor removal/installation.
--- Perform coupling alignment on small industrial rotating
equipment and industrial turbine generators.
--- Utilize safety and material control procedures during opening,
inspection, and closing of turbine generators.
--- Remove and install turbine blades and vane segments.
--- Use precision measuring equipment for interpretation of
--- Troubleshoot complicated mechanical/electrical problems.
--- Maintain tooling inventory and communicate re-order with the
--- Heavy overnight travel (at least 70%) by land and/or air.
--- Maintain in good status a driver's license and passport
