MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:


  • Six (6) years of experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design, technical problem solving, and analytical/logical thinking.
  • Specific experience with DoD C4ISR, maintenance, logistics, or business systems preferred but will consider other relevant industry experience supporting complex solutions as approved by the COR.

    DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Expert-level knowledge with performing U.S. Naval Surface maintenance activities.
    • Knowledgeable with Naval Surface maintenance policies and procedures.
    • Three to six (3-6) years of experience in U.S. Navy maintenance, logistics, and business system projects to include one or more of the following: Engineering, Systems Analysis, Information Assurance, Requirements analysis, Net development, SQL/Oracle Database Administration, Software Installation, System Administration, Release management and System Architecture support.
    • Familiar with NIWC LANT's the MFOM System Engineering Procedures and work instructions (MSOPs), Application Management Support to include the execution of architecture, requirements, analysis and design responsibilities.
    • Knowledge of MFOM system architecture, functionality and implementation
    • Familiar with U.S. Navy environments to include: Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS), Navy Information Application Product Suite (NIAPS), Navy and Marine Corps Internet (NMCI), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise System (CANES), Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS), Common Operating System Environment (COMPOSE), Nosis, Navy Enterprise Data Center (NEDC), New Orleans, LA and Charleston, SC, Afloat Readiness Reporting System (ARRS), FAS-A (Fleet Application Server Classified), FAS-AU (Fleet Application Server Unclassified)
    • Familiar with U.S. Navy applications to include: Casualty Reporting (CASREP) Generator, MRAS-C, MRAS-U, IMS, Afloat Toolbox for Maintenance (ATM), Automated Work Notification System (AWN), Electronic Work Authorization Form System (eWAFS), Navy Equipment Dispatch Systems (NEDS), MFOM-Classified (C), MFOM-Unclassified (U), Model Editor (ME) - Classified (C), ME-Unclassified (U), Cross Domain Solution (CDS), SAS, VSB, NMD-R, Enterprise Shift Operations Management System (ESOMS).
      Other certifications including Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM), Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Certified SAFe Agile Software Engineer, Certified SAFe DevOps Practitioner, Certified SAFe Architect, and Foundational, Associate or Professional Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications.

      PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
      Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is an advanced information technology engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions. At the core of our capabilities is a seasoned team of highly skilled engineers and scientists with multidisciplinary backgrounds. This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. SRC is searching for a Technical Analyst to enhance and sustain the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) Family of Systems (FoS) as well as transitioning and integrating MFOM's existing capabilities into Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions (PEO MLB), Logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) Services Delivery Team future FoS (e.g. Naval Operational Business Logistics Enterprise (NOBLE)). The MFOM FoS consists of applications and core software components including Innovative Readiness Reporting Initiative (IRRI) Messaging System (IMS), MFOM Modeling Automation Tool (MMAT), Mission Readiness Assessment System-Classified (MRAS-C), MRAS-Unclassified (MRAS-U), Navy Maintenance Database Re-platformed (NMD-R), Ship Acquisition Software (SAS), and Validation, Screening & Brokering (VSB). Work conducted on this project supports Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic (LANT) and is performed in Norfolk, VA. Duties & Responsibilities include:

      • Assists management with developing and delivering requirements documentation, user interface mockups, user documentation, training, and test scripts
      • Work with other team members to refine design and implementation details and peer review work products
      • Assists with developing software solutions by analyzing user information needs; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

      • Involved with operational feasibility analysis by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

      • Improves operations by assisting with conducting systems analysis; recommends changes in policies and procedures.
      • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
