Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY The PCS Database Coordinator is responsible for accurately compiling, analyzing and maintaining data, statistical information and databases in support of the reconciliation and reporting processes for the patient care services division.# Work involves the coordination and initial analysis of NDNQI and grant data for submission.# Duties involve workflow analysis, process improvement, problem solving and project management functions.# Reports to department management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops statistical databases, reports or information and graphs data for interpretation and analysis.# Performs administrative operational activities to include but not limited charge posting, charge post reconciliation and developing trending graphs and statistical analysis.# Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support functions for assigned area(s). Performs other duties as assigned. LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS None required. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor#s degree in business, decision sciences or related field preferred.# Two to three years of related administrative data analysis and management experience preferably in a patient care environment required. Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. Must accurately type 45 # 50 wpm.# Demonstrates proficiency in Eclipsys and Power Chart or equivalent healthcare related computer programs preferred.# Previous electronic medical records experience and knowledge of medical terminology a plus.# Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.# Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast paced environment responding to unpredictable, changing situations and needs with sound judgment and excellent customer relations skills.## Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.## Demonstrates the skills set to work independently with little or no supervision.
