Job Description:

We are looking for passionate Software Engineers to design, develop and install software solutions for a prospective new program. Software Engineer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, perform as part of an agile DevSecOps team. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment. Ultimately, the role of the Software Engineer is to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.Requirements+ Bachelor's level degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. + Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.+ Senior Software Engineer 10 years work related experience in Software Engineering.+ Senior: Demonstrated experience as a Lead Software Engineer responsible for a software development team.+ Software Engineer 5 years work related experience in Software Engineering+ Five or more years of specialized experience performing work in each of the following area. + Demonstrated experience developing software using an Agile framework.+ Demonstrated experience developing secure DoD web applications using a DevSecOps methodology.+ Demonstrated experience managing software version control and/or software source code base. + Demonstrated experience with software development on Linux and Windows Computer Operating Systems.+ Demonstrated experience designing program interfaces and ensuring interoperability with other systems.+ Demonstrated experience with software development tools and programming languages (JAVA,NET, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, REST APIs, OOP, MVC, and SQL).+ Ability to define specifications for moderately complex software programming applications and/or oversees the maintenance of existing programs to ensure continued performance and compliance with current requirements, guidelines, and standards.+ Ability to perform all necessary aspects of the programming phase of software development including coding, testing, debugging and documenting using current guidelines and standards.+ Ability to define architecture requirements and performance standards to meet customer specifications.+ Ability to participate in the analysis and development of test plans. Tests assigned components and units, provides test results and recommends corrections.+ Ability to identify and direct resolution of moderately complex database/software interface issues or other technical problems.+ Ability to author or assist in the writing and/or presentation of briefings (reports on analyses, findings, and project progress), project or task plans, system specification manuals, technical reports and user manuals.+ Familiarity with the principles, practices, and procedures used in DoD software development including: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Lifecycle Support, and Configuration Management.+ Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and their architectures.+ Familiarity with software virtualization and containers (Virtual Box, Docker, Open Shift, Kubernetes).+ Ability to communicate software concepts effectively.+ -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to occasionally travel to customer, vendor, and industry meeting locations, if required.BenefitsBenefits include:+ Medical, Dental and Vision+ Life and A coverage+ 401(k) Plan with company matching contributions+ Paid Time Off (PTO) and 10 paid Holidays+ Educational Assistance+ Highly Competitive SalarySOLUTE is an equal opportunity employer.
