Digital has an exciting HR Generalist opportunity in the
Chesapeake, VA area. The individual will serve as first point of
contact to support employee inquiries, communicate policies and
procedures to applicants and employees, assist with general HR
administration, including, but not limited to: new hire onboarding,
off boarding, benefit programs, personnel records, pre-employment
reference checks, training programs and other special projects as
assigned. As required by applicable federal law, rule, regulation,
and/or mandate or otherwise, must have received or be willing to

Scope of Responsibilities:
- Under guidance of company management, administer HR policies
and proceduresincluding but not limited to; compensation and
benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary actions, disputes and
investigations, performance and talent management, productivity,
recognition and morale, occupational health and safety, training
and development.
- Maintain employee personnel records in compliance with labor
law regulations.
- Promptly handle HR-related inquiries from applicants,
employees, and supervisors, while referring complex and/or
sensitive matters to appropriate management.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and local labor
law.
- Coordinate open enrollment for employee benefits programs,
benefit changes, and training.
- Administer on-boarding and orientation for new employees.
- Administer off-boarding for separating employees.
- Lead and conduct management/employee training curriculum
- Administer the Learning Management System (Udemy) to facilitate
training program, tracking, and report analysis.
- Monitor employee morale and company culture through regular
check-ins and employee satisfaction surveys.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop effective
HR/recruitment strategies.
- Manage and document employee training, continuing education,
and work assessments.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility
verifications.
- Perform other related duties and assist with special projects
as assigned. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration,
or a related field
- At least 3 years of Human Resources experience preferred
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Approachable and appropriate when interacting with the team at
various levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft
Outlook) Desired Qualifications:
- PHR or SPHR certification Applicants selected will be subject
to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility
requirements for access to classified information. Salary $65,000 +
to align with education and experience Ignite Digital Services is a
