Job Description:

Primary Purpose:

Supports Towne Insurance by developing a robust pipeline and recruiting top talent for the insurance line of business, supporting both sales and operations. Advises managers and employees on human resources matters including compensation, employee relations and performance management.

Essential Responsibilities:

Recruiting and On-Boarding Responsibilities

* Partners with insurance leadership and hiring managers to develop talent pipeline and recruiting plans for each segment within Towne Insurance
* Partners with Talent Acquisition team and follows established processes for full-cycle recruiting from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires
* Partners with insurance hiring managers to develop new and updated job descriptions for various positions, ensuring compliance with FLSA, ADA, etc.
* Conducts initial candidate screenings by reviewing applications and resumes whiles considering the required knowledge, skills and abilities for each position
* Partners with the Talent Acquisition Team to provide a positive onboarding experience for insurance new hires and ensure all required documents are obtained for compliance purposes

General Responsibilities

* Partners with and provides guidance to Insurance Leadership, Managers and Employees on all aspects of Human Resources
* Provides advice and counseling on interpretation of HR policies and guidelines
* Recommends improvements to current processes and new approaches to contribute to the success of the business.
* Gives guidance to managers regarding employee performance issues and the preparation of official documentation
* Investigates employee complaints regarding harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment, etc. and acts immediately to resolve the issue.
* Participates in due diligence and conducts new hire orientations for acquisitions
* Collaborates as a member of the HR Advisory Team and provides additional support as needed
* Maintains an awareness of Towne Insurance employee morale and climate and keeps Insurance leadership and the HR Advisory Team informed of any employee comments or concerns requiring employee relations follow-up
* Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:

* Five years Human Resources experience, including full-cycle recruiting and employee relations experience
* Ability to source and recruit talent using social media (LinkedIn, etc.)
* Experience using MS Office Suite in a professional work environment
* Intermediate level Excel skills
* Must possess the highest quality of integrity, discretion, strong work ethic and the ability to maintain extreme confidentiality
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time accordingly
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of employees, applicants, etc.
* Ability to work independently and as a team member
* Ability to work outside business hours as business needs dictate
* Insurance industry exposure or experience. Understanding of roles typical for an Insurance Agency Operation

Desired Skills and Competencies:

* Bachelor's degree or Human Resources certification (i.e., CIR, PHR, SHRM-CP)
* Prior use of Ultimate Software products
