This Occupational Therapist position is based in a welcoming community in eastern North Carolina, offering the best of small-town living with convenient access to larger regional hubs. The area offers nearby rivers, outdoor recreation, and a relaxed pace of life, while still being within driving distance of larger cities, beaches, and cultural attractions throughout eastern North Carolina.You will be working within a modern, well-supported care environment that is part of a larger regional health network, providing strong clinical resources, established protocols, and access to a broad referral base. The facility is known for its commitment to quality, patient-centered care and for fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture. You will have the opportunity to work closely with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nursing, physicians, and case management to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care.Typical responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with functional limitations related to orthopedic conditions, neurological diagnoses, deconditioning, and other medical and surgical conditions. You will design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADL and IADL training, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognitive and perceptual skills, and adaptive equipment or environmental modifications. Education of patients and caregivers is a key part of the role, along with thorough documentation in the EMR and participation in interdisciplinary care conferences as needed.Depending on the specific assignment and setting, caseload may include a mix of outpatient and inpatient or post-acute rehabilitation patients.
