Southeastern Virginia Training Center is seeking a dedicated and
reliable Food Service Technician I – Driver/Trayline to join our
Food Services team. This role is essential to supporting the health
and well-being of adults with intellectual disabilities. About Us
At Southeastern Virginia Training Center (SEVTC) we serve citizens
with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are an
intermediate care facility operated by the Department of Behavioral
health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) where we support
individuals in state-of-the-art homes with accommodations unique to

Drive a delivery truck to and from residential homes in all weather
conditions Load and unload food carts and deliver to homes safely
and accurately Push carts into homes and connect them to re-therm
units Ensure proper placement of hot and cold items in carts prior
to delivery Wash dishes, lids, and trays according to Back of House
(BOH) standards Assemble/disassemble the dishwasher and clean food
service equipment Set up trays with condiments and prepare
supplemental food orders Ensure food is served at appropriate
temperatures Clean and sanitize food carts, dishes, pots, pans, and
utensils Maintain cleanliness of food service areas including
scrubbing floors and tables Schedule: Rotating shifts: 5:00 AM –
1:30 PM 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Includes weekends and
holidays Must be available for overtime and shift flexibility as
needed Additional Information: This position is considered
essential personnel and will be required to report to work during
facility needs or emergencies. All new hires must complete a 5-day
Pre-Service Training Program (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM daily). Skills and
experience required: We are looking for candidates who are

equivalent required Active, valid driver’s license required Basic
knowledge of food safety Must be aware of BOH regulations and can
