Providers are supported by a strong transfer system, making this an excellent option for surgeons seeking flexible, supplemental income without high overnight burden . Estimated Weekend Earnings: $5,800 – $7,200 Assignment Highlights Call-only assignment (no clinic or scheduled OR time) 24-hour call coverage including nights and weekends Not required to remain on-site while on call No ER backup responsibilities No code response required Low-volume, manageable workload Strong transfer system (ECU Health Air & Ground) EMR: Epic (HealthSpan) Prepaid travel and lodging Malpractice insurance covered HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency Coverage Schedule Multiple pre-scheduled call blocks throughout 2026 Typical structure: weekend or extended multi-day call coverage Example: Friday–Monday continuous call (~72 hours)
