The role is strictly inpatient , allowing providers to focus on admissions, cross-cover, and overnight patient care without outpatient duties or ER backup expectations. The hospital offers a supportive environment with EPIC EMR , low admission volume, and a well-defined scope of practice. ICU responsibilities are present but controlled, requiring comfort with vent management and running codes , without overwhelming critical care burden. This assignment is ideal for hospitalists looking for a short-term, well-compensated block with minimal friction and clear expectations . Provider Pay: $2,400 per shift ( $200/hour ) Market Pay Ranking: Top ~10% of Hospitalist Locum Pay (2026 market data) Malpractice coverage provided. Travel and lodging covered.
