Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Richmond, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,961 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Richmond, Virginia, 23235! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: BLS certification Experience with post-operative patients Positive attitude Description: Positions available for Registered Nurses in the Med Surg specialty. Nurses will provide care for patients recovering from orthopedic procedures including hip, knee, and spine surgeries. The unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 5/6:1. Staffing includes 4-5 Nurses and 1-3 Patient Care Technicians. Support staff includes a Department Secretary available from 7 AM to 7 PM, currently three days a week, with plans to increase coverage to six days a week. General nursing equipment for the care of medical-surgical patients is utilized. Documentation is completed using Meditech. Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts per week, and every other weekend is expected. Floating to similar units may occur. Patient experience is prioritized with bedside shift reporting, safety rounding, and using AIDET for all interactions. All patients are treated with courtesy and respect. Candidates should embrace a philosophy of making personal connections and keeping patients informed of their care. Preferred experience includes familiarity with Meditech, but advanced skills are not required. No specific bedside procedures are performed on this unit. The unit is purpose-built and just over one year old, offering ample equipment to meet patient and staff needs. The nursing staff includes experienced professionals, some with over 20 years of tenure.
