Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 02/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: MRI Tech - MRI Tech Job Details: • Work Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM • Minimum 2 years of experience required • Level 1 Trauma experience required • Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, State licensed • Epic charting system experience required • Must be comfortable with adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, pediatric acute care, and NICU/PICU procedures • Perform various MRI procedures including brain, cervical, chest, abdomen, pelvis imaging • Experience with contrast media preparation and administration required • Starting peripheral IVs required • Work with Siemens equipment and software platforms • Must handle patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics • Float within scope if needed • Natural nail policy must be followed • Complete assigned modules during orientation on facility learning platform • BSN preferred • Virginia or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal Facility: This major academic medical center features a comprehensive MRI department located in the Gateway Basement area with 4 advanced MRI scanners including both 1.5T and 3T Siemens Aera and Vida software platforms. The facility provides a wide range of imaging services including routine neuro, body imaging, musculoskeletal studies, cardiac imaging, and specialized procedures with anesthesia assistance. The department serves both outpatient and inpatient populations seven days a week, handling cases from routine screenings to complex disease processes and cancer staging. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes advanced technology to support diverse imaging needs across all age groups.
