This high?acuity hospital role offers flexible shifts, a supervision model, and a broad range of adult and pediatric cases. Job Details: Location: Southeast Virginia Publish Date: 11/06/2025 Status: Active Specialty: Anesthesiology Position Type: Locum tenens Certification Requirements: BC'd or BE ONLY License Requirements: Virginia license required Work Setting: Hospital surgical unit Schedule: 10? or 12?hour shifts Call: Weeknight and/or weekend call required Support Staff: Medical Direction model with 2 CRNAs per anesthesiologist Clinical Responsibilities: General, Cardiac Cath Lab (REQUIRED), Spinal, Epidural, Regional, Complex Vascular (except open hearts), Ventilation management, Central/Arterial line placement Patient Care model? % of Supervision: Care Team Model ? Medically directing 2 CRNAs Current staff: 2 MDs, 2 CRNAs (ORs at 80% operational efficiency) Experience Requirements: Must be comfortable with full case mix; MDs place spinals or epidurals EMR: EPIC Dates: January 1 ?
