Leigh Hospital is hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse
(RN) for our Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) Hours Full Time (40
hr/week) Overview: The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to
perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the
critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards
of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification,
planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health
promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional
performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication,
collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice
/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and
environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of
professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and
skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Department Overview: The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is a 24-bed
stepdown unit for patients with medical and surgical diagnoses.The
predominant patient population includes but is not limited to acute
CVAs, ventilator dependent patients-weaning and non-weaning, GI
bleeds, chronic renal failure, newly diagnosed and chronic
diabetes, general abdominal surgery, thoracic surgery and those
diagnoses that require frequent monitoring. Education - Bachelor of
Science Nursing, BSN (Required) or MSN (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure - Registered nursing License (Required) -
BLS required within 90 days of hire Experience - 2 years experience
in a support leadership RN position, i.e. Unit Coordinator, Team
Lead, or other like position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year
formal management experience. Meets any requirements defined by

facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in
