City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Overview: Sentara Leigh Orthopedic Hospitalis seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for our busy Surgical Orthopedic Unit, 1 East! Hours: 36 hours per week Overview: Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Department Overview: This 24 bed Surgical Unit is primarily orthopedic patients but will also have other general medical patients as well.This unit is 70% orthopedic surgical patients and 30% medical patients.
