Surgical Technologist – Ophthalmology (Days) Location: Norfolk, VA
23502 Shift: Monday–Friday | 5x8 Day Shifts (40 hours per week) |
Start time: 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM Position Summary: We are seeking an
experienced and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our
ophthalmology team in Norfolk, Virginia. The ideal candidate will
bring strong cataract and general ophthalmology experience and be
comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain sterile surgical
instruments, supplies, and equipment. - Assist surgeons during
cataract and ophthalmology procedures. - Ensure a sterile and safe
environment in the operating room. - Support patient care before,
during, and after surgery under the direction of the surgical team.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control standards.
Requirements: - Active Virginia Surgical Technologist License (must
have in hand) - Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience -
Cataract experience required; general ophthalmology experience
preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to work
collaboratively with surgeons and nurses - Excellent communication
