Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Neuro RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320! Pay Information
$2,110 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of
critical care experience preferred, strong neuro experience
required. License: Valid state nursing license required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Must-Have: Strong neuro experience, proficiency in Epic,
willingness to float to various units. Description: Chesapeake is
located in a beautiful area known as Coastal Virginia. It is an
outdoor lover's paradise offering trails for all levels of hikers
and over 20 waterways to explore. Candidates must have strong neuro
experience, including post-neurosurgical care, management of
external ventricular drains, and stroke care. Candidates will be
expected to manage vents, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring,
conscious sedation, and emergency management. Patient ratios will
be 1:2-3. Experience in critical care is preferred but strong
candidates without three years will be considered. Candidates must
be proficient in Epic, with no exceptions. Local rules state that
no candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 50 miles
from the facility. The facility cannot accommodate candidates with
a history of fit test issues due to specific testing requirements.
An EKG testing requirement is in place for this position; passing
is essential to ensure adequate patient care. Modules consisting of
three hours are required to be completed prior to starting.
Orientation will consist of 16 hours of training and will be
