General Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Intern!*Employee is required
to register as a pharmacy intern with the State Board of
Pharmacy.*BLS required within six months of hire.Responsible for
managing the drug distribution system and providing technical
support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient
focused and cost-efficient drug therapy. Prepare medications under
the direction of a pharmacist. Manages patient drug therapy in
accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice
standards under the direction of a pharmacist. Serves as the
primary resource for drug information within the hospital and
assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders
under the direction of a pharmacist.Will consider pharmacy students
with active intern license, new graduated pharmacists and pharmacy
interns not licensed in Virginia/NC due to relocation. Must have
Virginia or North Carolina (applicable to location) license within
90 days of Sentara start date.
