Job DescriptionSentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk,
Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical
Unit 5K.This is a DAY SHIFT position.This 42-bed unit specializes
in the care of Adult Surgical Patients. Registered Nurses are
assigned to PODs to assist patients recovering from surgeries:
Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery,
Surgical Oncology, and Trauma Overflow. While working in this unit
you will care for patients that have renal disease, diabetes, COPD,
and heart failure for a well-rounded nursing experience. This is a
telemetry-monitored unit. The average patient stay is 3-4 days.
This unit also has 6 beds that are for Epilepsy monitoring and is
the Living Kidney Donor Transplant Unit. As a Registered Nurse with

assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications,
