Harbor's Edge is a premier resort-style Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located on the harbor in Norfolk, Virginia. Harbor's Edge has a $225 million expansion underway, the River Tower, that includes an additional 24-story tower, doubling the square footage and adding 147 residential living units and 20 assisted living units. When complete, Harbor's Edge will have 300 residential units in addition to a 33 bed (Medicare/Private Pay) Skilled Nursing unit and 80 Assisted Living/Memory Care units. The Community will employ approximately 300 employees..Harbor's Edge is currently seeking a qualified LPN Supervisor with strong clinical skills for our Assisted Living and Memory Support units. Come join our 5-star facility and enjoy a competitive compensation and benefits package, an attractive nurse-patient ratio, and a great work environment.Responsibilities- Provides direct nursing care services to residents and follows resident care plan for all residents (ADL Assignment Worksheets)Performs resident assessments as required by regulations and facility policy under the direction of the Unit Manager and scope of practiceObserves residents for change in condition and reports any changes immediately to RN House Supervisor and/or the Unit Manager as well as resident's physician as directedDocuments all pertinent/relevant observations, communication with the resident's physician & responsible party, clinical procedures, and daily assistance/care by the end of each shiftUpdates, completes, and maintains ISP for each residentChecks and records vital signs, weights, and blood sugars as assignedAdministers medications, injections, and other treatments as authorized by current licensure by the VA State Board of NursingProvides for or assists patients with activities of daily living as needed, including bathing/showering according to schedule, oral care, toileting, dressing, etc.Assesses safety of all medication, including narcotics, with inter-shift countEncourages residents to participate in recreational activities and assists residents in getting to activitiesResponds to urgent calls as neededMaintains restraint free environment at all times and supports fall prevention programs for all residents in needHelps admit and discharge residents according to facility procedureAssists in post-mortem care as instructedOrients new employeesHelps prepare monthly Community newsletterHelps with planning, organizing, and functioning of various resident committeesAttends in-service classes and staff meetingsPerforms other duties as assigned

Requirements:
QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED at a minimumCurrent state license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of VirginiaAt least 3 years of related work experience; Assisted Living and/or Long-Term Care experience requiredSupervisory experience a plusCPR and First Aid Trained with a valid certificate/cardISP/UAI certification preferredExperience with Electronic Medical Record system preferredMust be physically able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, balancing and maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling, reaching over the head, pushing/pulling, and grasping with both handsExcellent verbal and written skillsAble to follow spoken and written instructionsMust be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general publicMust be able to pass a criminal, sex offender, PPD, and drug screeningPI197409402
