Job Description
As an IT Manager at Sentara Health, you will play a crucial role in
ensuring the efficient operation of our IT department. You will be
responsible for overseeing and coordinating various IT teams and
projects, with a strong emphasis on healthcare-specific solutions
and Microsoft development technologies, including Microsoft Azure
and RESTful architectures. Experience with payer claims systems and
Epic Electronic Health Records (EHR) is a significant plus.

Project Management :
Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are
delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope,
objectives, and deliverables.
Ensure project goals align with the company's strategic
objectives.
Healthcare Expertise :
Leverage your healthcare industry experience to understand and
address the unique challenges and requirements within the
healthcare domain.
Identify opportunities to improve healthcare processes and outcomes
through technology solutions.
Microsoft Azure and Development :
Possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft
Azure cloud services.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of Microsoft-based
applications and systems.
Champion the adoption of best practices and standards in Microsoft
development.
RESTful Architectures :
Lead the design and implementation of RESTful architecture for
scalable and efficient applications.
Ensure the use of RESTful APIs to enable interoperability with
external systems.
Payer Claims Systems and Epic EHR (A Plus):
Experience with payer claims systems, including TriZetto.
Familiarity with Epic Electronic Health Records (EHR) and
associated modules.
Strategic Planning :
Collaborate with senior management to define IT strategies and
roadmaps aligned with the company's goals.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their integration into
our IT environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in healthcare IT, with a deep understanding of
healthcare processes and regulations.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure,
services, and DevOps.
Demonstrated proficiency in RESTful architectures and API's.
Proven experience in managing and leading IT teams.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to
prioritize and delegate effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary
General Information Technology work involves managing or performing
work across multiple areas of an organization s overall IT
Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and
administration of: IT Systems Software, Hardware, and Databases
Data & Voice Networks Data Processing Operations End User
Technology & Software Support Conducts cost/benefit analyses for
proposed IT projects as input to the organization s IT roadmap.
A Manager manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude
and independence in assignments. Responsibilities typically
include: Ability to organize and manage projects into a program or
portfolio for proper resource coordination and scope definition.
Able to leverage relationships with leaders throughout the
organization to resolve conflict and issues as they arise. Able to
leverage experience to manage larger, more complex projects and
programs. Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results
(1 year or less). Problems faced are difficult to moderately
complex. Influences others outside of their own job area regarding
policies, practices, and procedures.
