City/StateVirginia Beach, VAOverviewWork ShiftFirst (Days) (United States of America)Sentara Healthcare is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a IT Program Manager.* This position is 100% remote but candidates must have a current residence in one of the follow states or being willing to relocate: FL, GA, IN, MD, SC, NC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WV, WIMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree ; Experience in lieu of Bachelor level degree3 years of relevant experience with degree 5+ years of relevant experience without degree A relevant professional certification is required - PPM /PgMP/ ACPJob Description:Technical Program Management Office (PMO) work is accountable for providing central expertise, support, and control for an organization's technical projects/programs including:*Developing technical program/project management best practices/templates and providing training/mentoring to project teams *Monitoring dependencies across multiple inter-related technical projects *Gathering and reporting consolidated technical project status and financial information to leadership Responsibilities typically include: * Ability to organize and manage projects into a program or portfolio for proper resource coordination and scope definition.* Able to leverage relationships with leadership throughout the organization to resolve conflict and issues as they arise. * Able to leverage experience to manage larger, more complex projects and programs.* Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less). * Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex. * Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.As the third-largest employer in Virginia, Sentara Healthcare was named by Forbes Magazine as one of America's best large employers. Job SummaryTechnical Program Management Office (PMO) work is accountable for providing central expertise, support, and control for an organization's technical projects/programs including: *Developing technical program/project management best practices/templates and providing training/mentoring to project teams *Monitoring dependencies across multiple inter-related technical projects *Gathering and reporting consolidated technical project status and financial information to leadership *In some organizations may serve as a central governing body to review/audit adherence to methodologies, budgets, and timing *In some organizations may provide full staffing and management for the organization's major technical projects/programs. * A relevant professional certification is required (e.g., PPM, PgMP, ACP, etc.).

    A senior professional managing matrixed teams of experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.
