Summary:The Corporate Communications/Public Relations Manager is
responsible for driving brand awareness and engagement amongst key
internal and external audiences across the Sentara Healthcare
enterprise. This person will further develop the organization's
voice, clearly communicating the company's brand and strategy in a
manner that reaches and appeals to target audiences, facilitating
interest, engagement, buy-in and advocacy in the company's
strategic initiatives. Overall, this role helps drive the promotion
and protection of the organization's brand reputation.Manager over
Internal/Executive Communications:This particular role will lead
the enterprise-wide internal communications practice in alignment
with organizational mission, values, strategic plan and annual
goals. S/he also will serve in a professional and advisory role to
lead communications for company-wide strategic initiatives as well
as initiatives impacting a specific region, division, or segment of
the company. Key Focus Areas:
Leads enterprise-wide communications practice in alignment with
organizational mission, purpose, values, strategic plan and annual
goals. Serves in a professional and advisory communications role
for company-wide strategic initiatives as well as initiatives
impacting a specific region, division, or segment of the company.
Leads proactive issues identification and reactive issues
mitigation and offers strategic counsel to leadership. Collaborates
with key internal department leaders to provide strategic change
management communications and ensure enterprise-wide awareness and
coordination around strategic initiatives and brand.
Additional qualifications: Master's degree preferred in business,
marketing or communications. Eight to ten years of progressively
advancing communications and marketing experience. Demonstrated
leadership skills with experience in or aptitude for management of
professional level staff. Experienced in leading initiatives across
divisions in a complex organization. Proven experience in
successfully serving in an advisory role to senior leadership.
Self-disciplined with strong project management skills, solid
analytical problem-solving skills, great attention to detail and
ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Gifted abstract and creative thinker with proven ability to learn
new concepts, information and technologies.Qualifications:BLD -
Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), MLD - Master's Level
