Requisition Number:10310Required Travel: 0 - 10%Employment Type:Full Time/Salaried/ExemptHours Per Week:40Security Clearance:No ClearanceLevel of Experience:Entry LevelJob DescriptionThe Project Management Analyst 1 is a member of the Program Management Office team and provides direct support and day-to-day administrative assistance to the program manager.This position will support NSWC PCD Special Projects and Operational Testing (SPOT) and NSWC Corona Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) onsite in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a multi-discipline position which will support day to day contract administration for deliverables, management briefing materials, PMO training tracking, and general administrative duties for the Program Management Office (PMO) of the Prime Contractor for SPOT and the NCTE.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesOversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.Reviews contractual requirements and participates in defining program requirementsProvides centralized support functions to program managers and their teamsDrafts correspondence and streamlines communications between divisions and corporate officesTracks and maintains records, information, and data on department activities and schedules for management including time keeping, travel, purchase orders, and invoicesPrepares reports and contract deliverables from spreadsheets, databases, and other inputs providedAdheres to administrative procedures and makes recommendations to improve efficiencyConducts administrative tasks and provides support associated with Human Capitol, Recruiting, and Security as neededEnsure compliance with Government regulations and HII processes affecting workflows and facility requirementsCoordinate schedules to facilitate completion of proposals, contract deliverables, task order review, and briefings/presentationsInterfaces with personnel to coordinate meetings and events, maintain logs, records, and files, provides end user support, and performs general administrative duties Assists in the preparation of management plans and reportsResponsible for developing, drafting, writing, and editing reports, briefs, proposals, and other documents in support of a client's requirementsPerforms additional duties and responsibilities as assignedMinimum Qualifications0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.US Citizenship able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearanceValid State Issued Driver's LicenseProficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OutlookExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsMust be able to work with little supervision and can take charge of tasksPreferred RequirementsKnowledge of government contracting environment, management/business plans and program reportingExperience working in government contractingProficiency in Atlassian Jira/ConfluenceFamiliarity with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR)Physical RequirementsJob performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.This opportunity resides with Live, Virtual, Constructive Solutions, a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division.
