The group currently employs 110,000 people worldwide, including nearly 2,400 in Marseille, in its headquarters in Marseilles.Position Summary:--The Senior Manager, Employee Engagement & Communications reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications. In collaboration with a team of key stakeholders, e.g., VP HR, VP Talent Management & Org Development, President---s Office, Director of Sustainability, etc., this position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a company-wide employee engagement and communications strategy with a focus on improving culture and employee engagement. The senior manager is accountable for identifying and implementing metrics to measure performance and develop action plans for continuous improvement. --This position will be responsible to:--

  • Drive the development of positioning, messaging and branding to leverage employees as brand advocates internally and externally.
  • Work with external and internal resources to develop effective internal-facing communications (written communications, videos, etc.). Manage communication channels and drive annual and quarterly planning with key stakeholders and develop/maintain calendar of annual employee engagement and HR events.
  • Work with the events manager and key stakeholders to plan logistics and promote internal events such as employee-facing charitable drives, celebrations, teambuilding events, etc.
  • Create metrics to measure success of employee engagement initiatives and participate in ongoing analysis of key data identifying trends. Evaluate and apply the data to support decisions and communicate data as necessary to enable stakeholders to track progress and create actions that drive positive employee engagement.
  • During times of crisis, organizational change, acquisition, divestures, etc., support executive leadership by partnering with them to formulate messages that have positive impact on employee attitudes, morale and productivity while delivering them in a way that produces understanding, transparency and perspective.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop employee recognition strategies to include reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations for recognition programs. Also lead the development, distribution and analysis of employee engagement surveys, including the formation of survey objectives, the implementation of the survey process and the analysis and presentation of survey results.
  • Serve as a strategic communications partner by providing counsel to executive leadership in the development of appropriate messaging to employees in support of key business priorities, initiatives and activities.
  • Miscellaneous related duties or Projects as assigned.----Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:
    • BA or BS in marketing, journalism, communications or a related field.
    • 8-10 years extensive leadership experience developing and executing employee communications and engagement strategies for a large organization
    • Top-notch copywriting and editing ability with willingness to personally develop communications as needed.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a compelling, concise and creative way to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to network and communicate with all levels throughout the company. Strong public speaking and event planning expertise.
    • Actively pursues continuous improvement, open to new ideas and solutions to improve upon existing standards, processes and best practices.
    • Adapts to the situation, changes approach to fit the unique needs of the audience, project or organizational requirements. Demonstrates enthusiasm and a strong commitment to the company and employees.
    • Strong organization and time management skills; a self-starter who can drive programs and results with minimal supervision.
    • Strong analytical ability and demonstrated experience using data to develop strategies.
    • Highly organized and results driven with a commitment to quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Leadership experience developing and executing employee communications and engagement strategies.
    • Demonstrated success working with senior executives and a proven track record in executive communications.
    • Strong business acumen, research capabilities and motivated to achieve high standards and continuous improvement.
    • Fluency in multi-media platforms such as video production, digital communications and web.
    • Experience working with detailed information and numerical data and presenting it in a way that is easily understood by recipients at different levels in the organization.
