The Director II Compliance is responsible for directing the implementation of the department's initiatives.-- Primary duties with consistent proficiency and expert skill level and tasks with advanced complexity and broad/enterprise scale may include, but are not limited to:--

  • Knowledge of company organizational structure, Business level responsibilities for commercial lines of business.
  • knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing directives within the department and ensuring timely communication.
  • Compare performance to that of other organizations through benchmarking.
  • Directs and leads programs with multiple layers, objectives, tasks, stakeholders, requirements.--
  • Assess and report on program/process effectiveness.--
  • Creates policies, procedures, and tools needed to operate daily function of the program.
  • Manage/oversee/influence resources impacting projects or programs from matrixed organizations under different leadership.
  • Develops and leads strategic plans, makes recommendations to leadership. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.--
  • Perform quality oversight of departmental work products/output.--
  • Plan, document, and communicate department work, noting accountable direct reports and deadlines.
  • Collaborates with management to set strategic vision.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.-- Qualifications Basic Requirements:
    • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance, or privacy experience, including minimum of 5 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.--
    • Ability to travel may be required.-- Preferred Qualifications:
      • Strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff strongly preferred
      • MS/MBA/JD or professional designation --Applicable to Colorado Applicants Only Annual Salary Range*: $120,880 - $151,100 Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.-- * The salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
