JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for the Quality oversight of the work performed by shipboard installation teams. The Quality Assurance Engineer ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements with emphasis on NAVSEA Standard Items and various other customer requirements. The tasks include but not limited to Managing Processes and Conducting quality audits, Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Promoting Process Improvement, Safety Management and Quality Engineering. Skills and Abilities: * In-depth knowledge of NAVSEA afloat installation design requirements as defined in in TS 9090-310. * In-depth knowledge of requirements included in the SPAWAR System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) Preparation and Execution Guide (SPEG) for Ship, Shore, and Submarine Installations. * In-depth knowledge of design and drawing standards contained in the SPAWAR Installation Requirements Drawing (IRD) Standard. * Knowledge of quality assurance and control methods and procedures. * Candidate must possess C5ISR Installation, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control experience. * Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. * Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. * Candidates must be able to physically access all areas on board U.S. Naval Vessels to include tanks, voids, and working aloft in support of production operations. Experience: * Seven (7) years of experience with C4ISR shipboard system integration projects. * Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems * Experience supporting U.S. Navy Systems Commands Desired Certifications/Licenses * ISO Lead Auditor Training a plus Certified Quality Inspector Certification * NDT Level II Certification * Certified Quality Inspector Certification Other Required Skills * Active security clearance or an ability to obtain one * This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require to staff it only with U.S. Citizens * Travel may be required.
